I thought immediately of the photo I took at the Getty Museum, LA back in October. These foreign school children and their teachers/parents toured the architectural delights on offer in time with us. We met them regularly.
They spoke no English but took loads of photos, just like me.

What a cheerful bunch of children and love the matching hat ๐
They were annoying and lovely in equal measure. This was taken while we were awaiting the train up to the museum and I still had love in my heart.
Were they foreign or just from a Chinese school in LA? I know there are Chinese schools in San Fran.
Oh Jude way too deep for me – no English but thaht doesn’t answer you question. Community – which community?
Why doesn’t that kind of eager curiousness live on in those communities …for some years at least?
Yes that’s a very good question. And I don’t know the answer.
They look very well behaved.
no so later ๐
We have a strategy for when we come across school groups. Usually the kids aren’t the least bit interested in what they are supposed to be looking at and move on fairly quickly. So we just stand back and wait till they pass by, and then we resume looking and enjoying.
Unfortunately we had to cross their phalanx at least three times but so with you on that strategy.
Sweet! Were you wearing your yellow jumper, too? ๐
Ah, trust you to find the weak spot….
Ah, aren’t school groups fun? Being a teacher, um, I don’t think so! ๐
With you, girlfriend!
Sweet photo and they all look so clean. Have to say I tend to avoid school parties if at all possible!
OMG Nancy, It wasn’t through choice! Had to stop teaching years ago because I began to dislike children ๐
Ha ha!! I would think that teaching would do that to a person. Avoid avoid avoid ;o)
Ha, I usually run the other way ๐
I love this photo, a beautiful moment. ๐
yes, had to be taken ๐
๐
They look so cute in the matching colors!
At that stage they were cute. Later not so.
I completely understand !
