Now I think this fits the brief this week. It’s Mrs Carmichael at her most simple. It also happens to be one of my favourite pics of my Costa Brava mini break.
You can see blue sky (yummy) and the hard edge of the Aiguablava Parador where Mr C and I rested our heads for the first two nights.
The Parador (Spanish Government owned hotel chain) is well worth a visit if you like stunning scenery, a great locale and Modernist architecture.
Mrs Carmichael adores Modernist architecture so I was in design heaven.
Imagine yourself reclining on a sun lounger beside a pool. You are sipping some agua con gas (because it’s too early for a mojito) and about to finish your first six hundred page holiday read (Michael Chabon’s Telegraph Avenue) when you happen to look up and note a simple angle, simple colours and you simply must take the photo.
Well, that’s what happened to me anyway.
